Sesame St classic Yip Yips

While I was browsing through a heap of videos I couldn’t stop laughing at the memories brought back by the Yip Yips… These creatures from Mars were always trying to figure out what things were and always got it wrong…

For the sake of comedy, click more for a few of them… TV today doesn’t come anywhere near as good as this… :)

CPL AGK exam passed

After sitting the CASA CyberExam today, I must say that from clicking the “Submit Exam” button to the moment my result appeared seemed like an eternity. That being said, after a sleepless night of worrying and thinking that I hadn’t studied enough and being very nervous about what I was about to do, I managed to pass with a mark of 83% :) 2 CPL exams down, 5 to go - Next up, Meteorology.

First area solo completed

On Monday 18th August 2008 I successfully completed my first area solo. This included flying with no instructor or passengers from Essendon (YMEN) to the Point Cook (YMPC) training area. Upon reaching the training area, I did some Precautionary Flying which is conducted at 500ft above the ground and then some practice engine failure procedures from 2500ft. After an almost perfect landing back at Essendon, I cursed that my instructor wasn’t there to see how good the landing was!

All in all, I had a ton of fun, operated the aircraft safely, and was very happy with my performance while flying solo as Pilot In Command. Next up, Aircraft General Knowledge exam in two weeks!
